MILWAUKEE (AP) - Winter weather is returning to Wisconsin after a weekend of record warmth.

Forecasters say accumulating snow moves into southern Wisconsin Monday evening through Tuesday morning. Snow totals will likely be in the 2- to 6-inch range with the highest amount south of a line from Darlington to Madison to Milwaukee.

The National Weather Service posted a winter storm warning in southern Wisconsin for Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

Record temperatures during the weekend melted snow piles and lured more people outdoors. Cold rain late Sunday followed a record high of 61 in Milwaukee, breaking a Feb. 28th record of 54 set in 1895.
