COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - President Bill Clinton is returning to South Carolina to rally the state’s voters at a campaign event supporting his wife’s White House bid.

The former president is speaking at a rally Wednesday night at Allen University in downtown Columbia. At the historically black school, campaign organizers say he will outline why Hillary Clinton is the best choice for South Carolinians.

Before the rally, the campaign says Bill Clinton is meeting with Democratic legislators at the invitation of Sen. John Matthews and House Minority Leader Todd Rutherford.
