BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Bismarck man accused of stabbing another man has been charged with attempted murder.

Twenty-eight-year-old Nigel Wakefield allegedly stabbed the man Monday night after being kicked out of a business for disturbing customers.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1SXWrHL ) that police say they have video surveillance of the alleged attack. Authorities say medical workers told them the victim was lucky to be alive.

Court documents indicate Wakefield is applying for a public defender. A home telephone listing for him could not be found. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
