BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo has been chosen the site of the 2016 New York State Republican Convention.

State Chairman Ed Cox and Erie County Chairman Nick Langworthy announced the site during a press conference Tuesday in Buffalo.

On the agenda is choosing a candidate to run for the U.S. Senate seat held by Democrat Charles Schumer. Party leaders also will hear from representatives of the Republican presidential campaigns.

The convention is scheduled for March 4.
