STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - A cremation certificate shows a central Pennsylvania school bus driver found slain in her home was shot in the face.

The cremation authorization was filed with the Centre County coroner, who continues to investigate the death of 60-year-old Jean Tuggy along with police.

She was found dead by two friends who went to check on her Jan. 23.

Authorities have since warned residents in and around Ferguson Township to be vigilant and lock their homes while the investigation continues.

Township police have refused to release other details for fear of compromising their investigation. They’ve previously said they don’t believe robbery was a motive and there was no sign of forced entry into Tuggy’s home.

Tuggy had been a bus driver in the State College Area School District for 16 years.
