DEL CITY, Okla. (AP) - A Del City post office is being named in honor of a former Oklahoma football star who was killed in Vietnam.

U.S. Rep. Steve Russell of Oklahoma City will help dedicate on Friday the newly named James Robert Kalsu Post Office on 28th Street in Del City. The ceremony will be at 1 p.m. at the Del City Community Center.

Russell wrote a bill to honor Kalsu, an All-American tackle at the University of Oklahoma who was drafted by the Buffalo Bills. He went to Vietnam in 1969 with the 101st Airborne Division and was killed in action in 1970. President Barack Obama signed the bill into law last year.
