BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) - A Tampa Bay area man accused of killing a man and woman in retaliation for a burglary has been indicted on murder charges.

The Bradenton Herald (https://goo.gl/aZiVbO) reports that a grand jury on Wednesday charged 38-year-old Dwayne Cummings with two counts of first-degree murder, armed kidnapping and possession of firearm by a convicted felon. Cummings faces a possible death sentence.

Bradenton police found 38-year-old John Karl Tuxford shot five times in his vehicle last month, and 23-year-old Jordan Finlon was found stabbed more than 30 times less than an hour later in northern Manatee County.

Detectives say they learned from a confidential informant that the couple had broken into Cummings’ home and stole $800. Deputies have arrested Cummings’ cousin on an unrelated warrant, but he hasn’t been charged in the killings. Authorities are still searching for a third possible suspect.
