WASILLA, Alaska (AP) - A juvenile has been taken into custody in the shooting deaths of a 40-year-old woman and her 10-year-old son at a home outside Wasilla.

Alaska State Troopers say the juvenile has been turned over to the Division of Juvenile Justice.

Troopers just before 8:30 a.m. Monday took a call of gunshots at a home. Troopers say the 911 call was made by a juvenile inside the home.

Investigators found the woman and the 10-year-old dead.

Trooper released few details immediately after the shooting but said they had not discovered anything to suggest danger to the public.

The juvenile was taken into custody at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
