HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island man is accused of sending sexually explicit photos to young girls after sending them friend requests on social media.

Daniel Arturo Monrroy Pineda of Hempstead was arrested Tuesday on 10 counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor.

Authorities say he used the screen name “Papi” on the social media app ooVoo to send friend requests to numerous girls between the ages of 11 and 14.

When the requests were accepted, police say the 27-year-old Pineda send the girls sexually explicit photos.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
