NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A Summerville man has been was arrested in a hit and run death in North Charleston last month.

Police spokesman Spencer Pryor told local media outlets that 30-year-old Aquatin Guzman Medina has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. Medina was arrested after speaking with investigators at the North Charleston Police Department.

Twenty-eight-year-old Richard Martin of Summerville died after his motorcycle was involved in a hit and run crash on U.S. Highway 78 on Jan. 20.

Witnesses told police that a man driving a van turned in front of Martin and hit the bike and kept going.

It was not clear if Medina has a lawyer.
