MEADOWS PLACE, Texas (AP) - Investigators believe a woman fatally shot her daughter-in-law and one of her sons before killing herself at the Houston-area house they shared.

Police in Meadows Place, about 15 miles southwest of Houston, say a toddler and a baby in the home were not harmed.

Authorities are trying to determine a motive for the shootings, discovered Tuesday by a man who arrived home. Police Chief Gary Stewart says the man called 911 to report finding his mother, his wife and his younger brother dead.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office says the man who located the bodies is the father of the two youngsters. His slain wife was the children’s mother. His brother who was killed was a teenager.

Names of those who died weren’t immediately released. Autopsies have been ordered.
