DEDHAM, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a 13-year-old boy was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Dedham.

Crews responded to Endicott Station on Tuesday. MBTA Transit police say the teen was on Track 1 when he was hit by the train.

Police say the boy died as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.

Norfolk district attorney spokesman David Traub tells The Boston Globe that foul play doesn’t appear to be involved in his death.

The MBTA says trains between Dedham Corp and Readville will resume service in both directions with expected delays.

Police are investigating the incident.
