PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard has reappointed Gerald Thaden and Thomas Wolles to the State Conservation Commission.

Thaden, who is from Marvin, will serve as the Farmer Area 1 representative. Wolles, who is from Colton, will serve as the Farmer Area 2 representative.

South Dakota Agriculture Secretary Lucas Lentsch says the two men bring a wealth of experiences to the commission, and their knowledge of conservation practices has been invaluable during their past tenures.

Thaden and Wolles serve with seven others on the commission, which has administrative oversight of South Dakota’s 69 conservation districts. Commissioners oversee the development and implementation of the state coordinated plan and set natural resources policy.
