SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - The Washoe County School District is introducing a new campaign that will provide its students with e-books.

The campaign is part of California-based app developer Ustyme’s Billion E-book campaign, which allows registered users to download books in English or Spanish for free.

District officials announced on Tuesday that students have access to 50 books online.

Organizers say Nevada is the first state in the country to launch the program.
