BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A Hardin woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the death of her boyfriend’s 6-year-old daughter.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://goo.gl/xkL88U ) Kerstyn Old Bull was sentenced Wednesday for the March death of Kiomora “Kiki” Hogan, who suffered a skull fracture. Old Bull pleaded guilty in November to criminal endangerment and obstructing justice.

Prosecutors say Kiki’s father left the girl with Old Bull. When he returned home and found her unconscious, he and Old Bull took nearly two hours before deciding to take her to the hospital.

A doctor told investigators the girl could have survived with immediate medical attention.

In July, a judge dismissed a negligent homicide charge against the father after he agreed to testify against Old Bull. He’s expected to plead guilty later this month to obstructing justice.
