FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) - Prince George’s County Police say the father of a 2-year-old fatally shot her and her mother after confronting the mother about child support issues.

Police said in a news release that 25-year-old Daron Boswell-Johnson of Forestville killed Chloe Davis-Green and her mother, 26-year-old NeShante Davis at their home. Officers say Boswell-Johnson was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts each of first- and second-degree murder.

Police say Boswell-Johnson admitted to his role in the crimes.

Davis and her daughter were found fatally shot in the parking lot near their Fort Washington home on Tuesday morning.

Parents described Davis to media outlets as a beloved and patient teacher and one boy says he and his classmates cried when they learned she wouldn’t be coming back.
