DELAWARE CITY, Del. (AP) - A Delaware refinery is still recovering from a massive winter storm that shut down the plant late last month.

The News Journal of Wilmington (https://delonline.us/1RZUYAy ) reports PBF Energy Inc., the owner of the Delaware City Refinery, will conduct maintenance on the plant at a date sooner than was scheduled.

The company said in a statement that personnel will also work on returning non-affected units of the plant to reduced operations.

The refinery was shut down completely on Jan. 23 as heavy snow struck the East Coast. The shutdown caused at least five chemical releases large enough to report to state regulators through Jan. 24. PBF says no harmful levels of emissions were detected.

Maintenance on the plant is expected to be completed by March.
