HOXIE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say two people have been killed in separate vehicle collisions involving tractor-trailer rigs on state roadways.

The ASP says 51-year-old Brian Pieri of Alicia died Wednesday when the vehicle he was driving northbound crossed the centerline of Highway 67 near Hoxie and collided head-on with a southbound semi.

Also Wednesday, 69-year-old Elizabeth Mills of Prescott died after the car she was struck by a semi on Highway 24 near Prescott. A state police report says Mills was attempting to turn onto the state highway from a county road when she pulled into the path of the rig.
