WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - No one was hurt when a driver in Williston hit an electrical transformer box and a mailbox before crashing into a house.

Police officer Ryan Egerman tells the Williston Herald (https://bit.ly/1SZEV5V ) that the incident happened about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The 28-year-old Tioga woman who was driving the car was cited for driving on a sidewalk and fined $20. Criminal charges including driving under the influence are pending.

The family of five who lived in the house were sleeping at the time and were awoken by a security alarm and smoke from the car’s spinning tires.
