LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Investigators are trying to identify a man who was killed in a crash on Highway 230 west of Laramie.

The Laramie Boomerang reports (https://goo.gl/B4Sc6G ) the man crashed a pickup head-on into an oncoming tractor-trailer hauling crude oil Sunday afternoon. Both vehicles erupted in flames, and the man in the pickup was severely burned.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.

Lt. Mike Simmons with the Wyoming Highway Patrol says investigators ran the plates on the man’s truck and found a match in Colorado. But they were unsuccessful in identifying the victim.

A forensic dentist from Torrington has been called in to help.
