MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in Memphis say a juvenile court corrections deputy has been indicted in an altercation with a 15-year-old boy.

The Shelby County sheriff’s office says Willie Jones was indicted Wednesday on charges including child abuse, assault, official misconduct and official oppression.

Authorities say video footage shows the boy walking into the court’s control center, picking up a piece of paper, shaking it and exiting. Officials say Jones then exited the control center, confronted the boy by shoving him in the chest, and hit him in the head with his fist several times.

Authorities have not named the boy.

Jones was arrested and jailed. Online court records do not show whether Jones has a lawyer.
