LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a man charged with murder in Tacoma, Washington may be in the Los Angeles area, and the brother charged with helping him flee is in custody.

The FBI said in a statement Thursday that 29-year-old Robert Deshawn Grott spent Tuesday night in a downtown LA hotel.

That information came from his brother, Rashaad Grott, who is now in custody and told investigators he had driven his brother to California from Tacoma.

Robert Grott is charged in Washington with first-degree murder for the killing of a man outside a convenience store on Monday.

Prosecutors say Grott fired 46 shots and hit the victim, 23-year-old Julian Jemar Thomas, more than 10 times.
