COZAD, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a man has died after being struck by a train in the south-central Nebraska city of Cozad.

The accident occurred a little before noon Wednesday. Police say the man was walking alongside the tracks when he was struck. Investigators say he was talking on a cellphone and may not have noticed the approaching train.

Lexington station KRVN reports (https://bit.ly/1KrWAAu ) the man has been identified as 51-year-old Johnny Frees, who lived in Cozad.
