YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (AP) - A suburban New York woman has been charged after police say they found 650 bags of heroin in her possession valued at $36,000.

Police say they arrested Alexis Mitchell of Yorktown Heights as she sat in her car in a Yorktown parking lot on Tuesday.

According to the Journal News (https://lohud.us/1UNgPsG ), police say they found 563 glassine bags of heroin in her possession. After obtaining a search warrant, police say another 91 glassine bags of heroin were found in her home. Four other people also were arrested.

Mitchell was arraigned on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. She was jailed on $5,000 cash bond.

It’s not immediately clear if she has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
