BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police have booked a man who escaped from work release, was recaptured, then accidentally released from prison.

Police said in a news release Wednesday a man escaped from a state prison work release program, was recaptured and then accidentally released from a state prison and again recaptured.

Thirty-year-old Emanuel Ray Jones was mistakenly released from Elayn Hunt Correctional Center Jan. 28 and was found Friday at his last known home in Covington by his parole officer.

In November, Jones escaped from the West Baton Rouge Detention Center

Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a Baton Rouge Police spokesman, said it wasn’t until Tuesday that he was booked in the November incident.
