CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Officials in Sweetwater County say two Rock Springs men who went missing while rabbit hunting have been found safe.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1SsCiK9 ) that 28-year-old Allen Hendrickson and 27-year-old Sean Jereb went on the hunting trip Sunday and failed to return home. They were found late Tuesday sheltered in a remote backcountry building.

Sheriff’s officials say the men were hunting in an area southwest of Wamsutter on Sunday and had not been heard from by Tuesday.

The search team found the hunters’ car and followed footprints away from the vehicle. The men were found sheltered about 4 miles from the vehicle.

Both were unharmed, as was a dog that was with them.
