CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Travel remains difficult in many areas of Wyoming as wind blows around the snow that fell on the state earlier this week.

A 70-mile section of Interstate 25 between Cheyenne and Wheatland was closed Thursday morning because of poor conditions. It reopened around mid-morning.

I-80 was open but the Wyoming Department of Transportation reported many areas of blowing snow and slick conditions. Restrictions were placed on light, high profile vehicles.

The National Weather Service posted a ground blizzard warning for the Arlington and Elk Mountain areas in southeast Wyoming where wind gusts of up to 65 mph were possible Wednesday morning. As the winds died down Thursday morning, the warning was lifted.
