PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Twelve bus routes will be detoured and bus stops relocated to accommodate the funeral procession for former Providence Mayor Buddy Cianci.

Cianci, who died last week at age 74, will be laid to rest on Monday.

The event begins at 8 a.m. at City Hall, where Cianci will lie in repose on Saturday and Sunday. His casket will be removed at 8 a.m. and brought to a horse-drawn carriage, then carried through downtown to the cathedral.

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority says the procession will affect Routes 1, 3, 6, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 30, 31, 92 and the R-Line.

They will be rerouted to avoid the area from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.
