BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Bismarck police have arrested a suspect in the theft of a tip jar from a fast food restaurant.

The jar with $400 in it went missing from the Pita Pit on Dec. 29 when the lone worker in the business at the time went into a back room. Surveillance camera footage showed two males grabbing the jar and fleeing.

The money was to fund an employee Christmas party, and news of the theft led to more than $1,200 in donations.

Authorities arrested a 22-year-old man on Thursday. Formal charges were pending.
