BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The acting U.S. attorney from North Dakota will continue to fill out the term until a replacement is named.

Chris Myers has been appointed the state’s interim U.S. attorney last year, after Timothy Purdon resigned to go into private practice.

U. S. District Court Chief Judge Ralph Erickson continued Myers’ appointment this week.

The U.S. president nominates and the U.S. Senate confirms the top federal prosecutors in each state.
