MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) - Dakota Wesleyan University has dedicated its new sports and wellness complex.

The 85,000-square-foot DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex features a cardio and weight-training room, an athletic training suite, a multi-purpose room for fitness and classes, the university’s first wrestling training room and a fieldhouse and athletic institute with a 200-meter indoor running and walking track and three multi-purpose sports courts.

It’s the school’s first indoor track since Morrow Gym, which was built in 1920 and razed in 1993,

The United Methodist-based, liberal arts university has seen record enrollment and campus improvements over the last decade.
