HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - An interim director has been named for Hot Springs’ airport following the retirement of George Downie.

The Sentinel-Record (https://bit.ly/1S4Flb5 ) reports that Interim City Manager Bill Burrough named Glen Barentine interim airport director on Wednesday. Barentine has been the operations manager at Hot Springs Memorial Field since September 2002.

Downie is stepping down as airport director after 22 years.

Selection of a permanent airport director will be made by incoming City Manager David Frasher.
