MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) - Police in Manitowoc say a man fatally shot at his home was apparently targeted by his assailant.

In a news release Friday, police Capt. Larry Zimney says no one is in custody, but the public is not believed to be in any danger.

Police say 52-year-old Kor Yang answered a knock at his door at about 5:30 a.m. Friday and was shot. The assailant fled.

Police say Yang’s wife, her two children and her grandson were in the home at the time of the shooting and weren’t injured.

Authorities say they haven’t identified a possible motive for the shooting. The last homicide with a firearm in Manitowoc was in 2001.
