PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - State officials say they will begin sending out results to Portsmouth residents who had their blood tested for possible exposure to contaminated water at the former Pease Air Force Base.

The Portsmouth Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1THZVNV ) the state Department of Health and Human Services says they received 460 test results back from labs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and AXYS Analytical Services.

The Haven well was closed in May 2014 after levels of a contaminant were found to be 12.5 times higher than the EPA’s Provisional Health Advisory.

Officials say the AXYS results won’t be mailed until the end of March. The CDC results will be mailed in February.
