SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - Sierra Vista police say the arrests of nine residents of the southeastern Arizona city cap an investigation of methamphetamine and heroin trafficking.

Police say one arrest was made Wednesday during a traffic stop after investigators observed the driver leaving a home and that eight people were then arrested after authorities obtained a search warrant for the residence.

The investigation included surveillance by police, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
