SOMERVILLE, N.J. (AP) - A Somerset County man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for selling heroin to a man who overdosed and died.

Christopher Krafsky of Bridgewater Township will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he’s eligible for parole under terms imposed Friday in Somerville.

Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano said the 33-year-old Krafsky sold heroin to 22-year-old Richard Johnson of Hillsborough.

Johnson’s mother found him in their home on Christmas Eve day 2013.

Texts on Johnson’s phone led police to Krafsky.

Authorities say it was Krafsky’s sixth conviction and that he was on probation for possession with intent to distribute when he sold the heroin to Johnson.
