TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Tempe police say they have arrested two people and found the gun used in the firing of gunshots at two vehicles being driven on a local street.

Police Lt. Mike Pooley says 18-year-old Ivan Dominguez and a 15-year-old boy were arrested Thursday on suspicion of aggravated assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm and criminal damage.

Nobody was injured by the gunshots fired at the two vehicles Wednesday but one of the shots hit a vehicle within inches of a small child in that vehicle.

Pooley says investigators canvassed the area and obtained information leading them to the suspects, the gun and other evidence.

Pooley says he doesn’t know whether Dominguez has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.

The juvenile’s name was not released.
