COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Forecasters say there is a chance much of eastern South Carolina could see snow on Sunday.

The National Weather Service says cold air rushing in could meet moisture from a low spinning just off the coast early Sunday. If it gets cold enough, rain could change into snow.

Forecasters say the best chance for snow is close to Interstate 95, where there is a 40 percent chance of an inch of snow. But Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Beaufort also have a chance of seeing snow collect on the grass.

No warnings or advisories have been issued, but forecasters say they may be needed later Saturday as they get a better handle on how Sunday’s storm may develop.
