FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Fire officials say crews helped a resident escape through a basement window after a house caught fire in Fargo.

Firefighters responded to the house on 26th Avenue South about 4:30 a.m. Saturday and saw the resident trying to escape. The crews pulled the occupant out of the window, and an ambulance crew took the person to a local hospital. The patient’s condition was not known.

Officials say four other occupants who were inside the house made it out safely with no injuries.

No other structures were damaged, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
