PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A former Pueblo Municipal Court judge has resigned after a confrontation with a court employee.

Former judge William Martinez will get more than $27,000 in severance pay as part of a settlement with the city of Pueblo, without admitting any wrongdoing.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://tinyurl.com/zogvgpj ) a police complaint was filed on the incident, but police Chief Luis Velez won’t release it.

The complaint has been referred to the district attorney’s office for further investigation.
