CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Police in Charlotte are investigating after a man was shot and killed in a downtown parking lot.

Jessica Lawrence Wallin, a spokeswoman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, said in a release that police were called shortly after 2:30 on Sunday morning.

She said that a man suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later identified the victim as 29-year-old Clavis Jamon Reliford. Police say that the shooting resulted from a fight between several men who were at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
