CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a police-involved shooting following a pursuit near Philadelphia ended with one person killed and another injured.

Police in Chester in Delaware County said a vehicle being pursued by Upland police entered the city shortly after 2 a.m. Monday. Capt. Anita Amaro said officers from several neighboring departments were involved.

She said gunfire that followed killed one of the two people in the vehicle; the other was shot in the left ankle.

County police and the district attorney’s office are investigating.
