MONTICELLO, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say an inmate who escaped from the Dallas County jail has been captured in south Arkansas.

The Drew County Sheriff’s Office says inmate Paul Grice was apprehended Monday in the Monticello area. Grice escaped from the Dallas County jail early Sunday morning.

Authorities have not yet released details of his arrest.

Grice was awaiting transfer to the Arkansas Department of Correction after recent convictions on theft and firearms charges. Prison records show he was convicted of second-degree murder in 1990s.
