PROVO, Utah (AP) - The Utah County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking a retired Olympian on investigation of security fraud.

The Daily Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1SbFObs ) that sheriff’s officials have issued a warrant for 40-year-old Kenneth Andam, who competed in the 2000 Olympic Summer Games in Sydney, Australia as a sprinter for Ghana.

According to police reports, victims gave Andam about $325,000 in 2011 to invest in Globa, which he described as a holding and mobile money transfer company. Globa bank statements show Andam transferred the money to other accounts in his name.

He was indicted in July and a warrant was issued after he failed to appear at a mandatory court hearing last month.
