PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police have been looking for a teen shooting suspect after a SWAT team found a vacant home empty after someone inside shot a construction worker.

The worker was shot in the hand as he and two others went to work in the home about 9:30 a.m. Monday.

The house is in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood, a blighted area with many vacant homes that are sometimes used by squatters and drug users.

The SWAT team surrounded then stormed the home, but didn’t find anyone inside.

Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler says police have narrowed down the shooting suspect one male in his late teens, but they’ve yet to release his name.

The wounded worker was at UPMC Mercy hospital in stable condition. His name hasn’t been released.

Police have continued to search for the shooting suspect.
