UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - The pastor of a central New York church where one teenager was killed and his younger brother badly beaten during a church counseling session has had her case adjourned for two weeks.

Tiffanie Irwin, pastor at Word of Life Church in the Utica suburb of Chadwicks, faces 13 felony charges in connection to the beatings. She appeared briefly in Oneida County Court on Monday, and her case was pushed back to Feb. 22 because Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara was unable to attend the proceeding.

Irwin was one of nine church members accused of taking part in the so-called “counseling session” in October that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Lucas Leonard and the brutal beating of 17-year-old Christopher Leonard.
