ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - The Coast Guard has suspended a search for a man who fell overboard from a sailboat off Sandy Point State Park.

Maryland State Police, Maryland Natural Resources Police and Anne Arundel County Fire Rescue on Friday were looking for the man, who was not wearing a life jacket when he fell overboard, the Coast Guard said in a news release. The Coast Guard suspended its search around noon.

Coast Guard watchstanders were notified about 9 p.m. Thursday that the man, whom authorities did not identify, fell overboard.

Coast Guard personnel had searched throughout the night, and covered more than 75 square nautical miles.
