CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago authorities are investigating after a 55-year-old woman was found dead in a downtown hotel.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office says the woman was pronounced dead around 7:30 a.m. on Friday in a room of the Wyndham Grand. An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday.

Chicago police say the woman didn’t show any signs of trauma.

The Chicago Tribune reports that a hotel spokesperson declined to comment.
