KILLEN, Ala. (AP) - Emergency responders have rescued a man whose car ended up in the Tennessee River in northwest Alabama.

Emergency management officials tell local news media that the car went into the water at Lock 6 Public Boat Launch in Killen Friday. Officials said a man was taken to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. His condition wasn’t immediately available.

Emergency crews pulled the car from the river.

Investigators were working to determine what caused the car to go into the water.
