WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. police have charged a man with the fatal shooting of a gas station attendant during a robbery.

On Oct. 17, 2011, 37-year-old Mohammed Abduselam was shot and killed when he tried to call 911, police said in a news release on Friday.

On Tuesday, officers charged an 18-year-old man with first-degree felony murder while armed in Abduselam’s slaying. Police did not identify the man because he was 14 when the crime occurred and he is charged as a juvenile.
